The Handyman:
I have always loved to fix things and build things and try to figure out how things work. When I was laid off from HP, I tried a few jobs using my procurement and negotiation skills and never found one that was a rewarding experience. I decide I would work for myself and set my own hours and dress code. I used my professional skills to prepare a business plan with revenue projections based on various hours and rates. I decided it was a go and launched Clay's Handyman Service in 2004. The business has build a reputation for quality, integrity, honesty, and reliability and has been successful with word of mouth advertising. It is interesting to note that when I get home from work, I often do one of my favorite things and fix up my house.
The Student:
I am a student at West Valley College studying Digital Media and Internet Marketing. I plan to continue my studies until I ultimatley get a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the same. Back when I received my BS in Marketing, Internet Marketing had not been discovered yet.
The Contractor:
I am currently working on getting my contractors license in Painting, Decorating and Finish Carpentry and hope to achieve this goal by the end of 2007.
The Audio Enthuasist:
I collect and listen to records on 60's tube audio equipment. One of my favorite vintage audio companies is ESS. They made amplifiers and fantastic speakers with the heil air motion transformer tweeter.
The Nerd:
I love to keep up with high tech and the latest and greatest technologies for consumer electronics and computers. I used to buy DRAM and Intel processors and still keep up with technology developments in the works. I build a few computers including raid drives and hardware dvd decoders.
The Auto Enthuasist:
I really enjoy nice automobiles and still work on them when I get a chance. I spend a lot of time hand washing and waxing the family cars. I have a cherry picker to switch the motors and do most work myself on pre 1970 cars. Some of my favorite cars are 1967 Camaro Convertible and the 1972 Datsun 510. I have a fondness for Packards.
